On the first day of the Brother Jasper Invitational at Draddy Gymnasium, Andrea Nyback (Koping, Sweden) of the Manhattan College women's track & field team qualified for the ECAC Championships in the pentathlon. Needing to run the final event, the 800 meters, faster than 2:40 to reach the ECAC-qualifying standard of 3450 points, Nyback finished in a time of 2:39.30, giving her a total of 3457 points.
