Manhattan College Head Track & Field Coach Dan Mecca has been elected president of the Metropolitan Conference. Founded in the 1930s, the Metropolitan Conference is the organization responsible for putting on the annual Metropolitan Championships. Manhattan has won a total of 39 Met Championships (men's & women's, indoor, outdoor & cross country) during Mecca's 24 years as head coach.
